“Honor your bloom. Trust your wilt. Each serves a purpose.” -Alex Elle
Exhaustion, the urge to pull back, to pull away – we tend to see these as bad things, as symptoms.
But what if it is more accurate to view them as information, valuable messages from our nervous system?
They are our gut and our body telling us something is not good for us – something has become too much – it is time for an ending and a new beginning.
We tend to honor our bloom but not our wilt. Yet, perhaps both deserve equal respect and attention from us.
It can be hard to listen, as sometimes our wilt holds information we don’t want to hear, don’t want to heed – but it is our innate source of wisdom and a guide to what is unhealthy and unsafe.
I know I resonate with this. I’m so much quicker to get annoyed and frustrated with my wilt – to try to blaze ahead – rather than stop and listen.
When has your wilt held a valuable message? Are you wilting now – and, if so, what might your gut or your body be trying to tell you? I would love to hear!!
