“We’ve got to live, no matter how many skies have fallen.” -D.H. Lawrence
Ah, Lionhearts, this is so true.
And, so much more easily said than done.
To rebuild a life that has been broken down – or to build from scratch when there was nothing solid there is the first place – can seem daunting and futile.
How do we believe enough in a future of something beautiful – a future of something secure – when the sky has fallen so many times before?
The answer is simply that we must.
We must believe there is something true – something possible – that is real even though we can’t see it or feel it (yet).
We must believe that the trauma has distorted our perception, that healing is possible, that living is possible, and that the sky will find its rightful place again.
Do you resonate with this? I would love to hear your thoughts!!
