This sweet one is retiring!! She spent her last day at the office this week. 
I knew this day was coming but didn’t anticipate it would be so soon. For more than 11 years, Sophie has been my sidekick.
She’s never been all that empathetic . . .
But her presence has helped keep those traumatized by the past in the here and now while they healed – and her insistence on the importance of someone rubbing her belly has brought laughter though so many tears. 
It is time for her to rest – to not have the stress on her joints of climbing in and out of the car every day – to be able to go potty whenever she feels like it rather than wait until session breaks.
Sophie has trained her little sister well – and while she will have big paws 
to fill – Sprout is ready.
