Each attendee must attend five 2-hour group consultations in addition to the training sessions. Group consultations are conducted in person or by a video conference call. For video conference groups, an access link will be emailed to you along with instructions for first time users. Group consultation is a structured to coincide with learning topics, so participation in 5 consecutive group consultations with the same group is strongly encouraged. If make-up sessions are needed at other times and dates, participants may schedule individual consultation with the Consultant for their group.
Consultation Groups are held in-person at the Consultant's office or via Zoom (encrypted, HIPAA-compliant video conference), depending on the needs of each group. Each group is limited to 4 participants, and additional groups will only be added once all currently offered groups are full. Consultation Group choices will be honored in order of request and are limited by availability. If only one person signs up for a group, then they will be asked to join another group or pay the Consultant's individual rate. Other requests for exceptions to choose individual over group consultation must by approved by the Director of Training. Training (42 hrs) - $1500 for Standard Registration 30 days prior to training or $1600 for Late Registration with 29 days or less prior to training. The final day to register at the Standard Registration rate is 2/5/2020.

Special Circumstances: Graduate students/Pre-licensed Clinicians, those working with Non-Profit Organizations, and those working directly with the Military - as well as former or active duty Military Service Members, First Responders, and their spouses - qualify for an additional $100 discount on the Standard Registration for the training (or $50 if taking the training as a Refresher Course).
This price includes both weekends of the training. The 10 hours of Basic Training Consultation are paid for separately (see below for details). A light breakfast will be provided at the late morning break, as well as a snack at the late afternoon break. Please be sure to make your own accommodations and meal planning, as the training does not include a full breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Restaurants are available on site. See below for hotel details.

Consultation (10 hrs) – Group $50-75/hr or Individual ranging $100-200/hr

This is the complete EMDR Basic Training approved by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), formerly known as Level I and Level II, including an additional 10 hours on consultation. Participants will learn the EMDR psychotherapy approach, the basic eight-phase EMDR protocol, the Adaptive Information Processing Model, and how to incorporate EMDR into your practice. This course will consist of didactic presentations, demonstrations, supervised practicum, and case consultations. Participants must attend the full training and attend 10 hours of consultation to receive a certificate of completion in EMDR Basic Training. Participants must complete the entire training including consultation hours within 24 months from their initial start date unless there are extraordinary circumstances, according to EMDRIA regulations. Approval of partial programs will not be granted.

Registrants canceling up to 10 full days before the workshop will receive a tuition refund less a $50.00 administrative fee. No refunds will be given for less than 10 full days cancellation. The training will be held in the Lakehouse Hotel & Resort at 1025 La Bonita Dr. San Marcos, CA 92078. A courtesy arrangement has been made with the resort to provide 15% off the "Best Available Rates" for all rooms, excluding Cottages and the Hideaway Suite. Rates will change depending on hotel availability and the day of the week. These rates extend for two days before and two days after the training. Continuing Education for Psychologists and Masters level mental health professionals is sponsored by Advanced Education Institute and DaLene Forester, PhD
NBCC: AEI (and DaLene Forester, PhD) is approved by NBCC to provide continuing education (ACEP #6657). EMDR Basic Training consists of 52 clock hours of continuing education for Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors. NBCC hours are accepted by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
APA: AEI is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. AEI maintains responsibility for this program and its content. This training consists of 52 continuing education credits.
EMDRIA Credits: For those who need to renew their Certification or Approved Consultant status, EMDRIA will allow a repeat of the EMDRIA approved basic training in lieu of the 12 EMDRIA Credits on a one time basis.
Qualifications for Attending:
A clinical background is necessary for the effective application of EMDR therapy. Attendance at the workshop is limited to all levels of social workers and mental health professionals who have a masters degree or higher in the mental health field and are licensed or certified through a state or national board which authorizes independent practice.
Graduate Students/Pre-licensed clinicians are eligible to enroll in the course if they have the approval of their clinical supervisor, with the understanding that participants' integration of EMDR skills into clinical practice is an essential component of the 10 hours of Basic Training Consultation. Graduate Students/Pre-licensed Clinicians must verify completion of requisite graduate level coursework at an accredited school to work with clients in a practicum/internship setting and be on a licensing track under state sanctioned supervision by a licensed clinician. Please submit a current supervisor’s letter of acknowledgement of the above, including the supervisor's degree and license number to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In order to take the training as a Refresher course, clinicians must verify completion of an EMDRIA-Approved Basic Training course by emailing a copy of the certificate to email@example.com.
