Oddly, the harder we try to push feelings away, deny them, disassociate from them – the more they stay.
Instead, the feelings just come out sidewise about something else – or build and fester until we explode – or get pushed deep into our bodies.

Acknowledging what we feel – all of what we feel no matter how ugly or shameful or intense or vulnerable – allows us to move through the feelings and find release and relief.
